Abstract
Pemanasan global yang semakin meningkat berpengaruh pada meningkatnya kebutuhan kenyamanan termal terutama pada wilayah beriklim tropis. Fasad bangunan memiliki kontribusi besar pada pengaturan termal di dalam bangunan . Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan kriteria perancangan pasif pada bangunan. Sekolah Lentera Harapan Rote merupakan proyek yang diteliti oleh penulis. Teori-teori yang diambil akan terkait dengan perancangan pasif seperti kenyamanan termal, orientasi bangunan terhadap matahari, bentuk bangunan, elemen selubung bangunan , pemilihan material, pencahayaan dan vegetasi.
