Abstract

Munculnya media baru memudahkan masyarakat dalam mengakses informasi yang diperlukan. Media baru memungkinkan individu memiliki kontrol yang lebih besar dalam memilih informasi yang ingin diterima. Dengan demikian, semakin banyaknya media yang bersaing untuk memuaskan khalayak, salah satunya melalui media sosial Instagram. Berbagai macam informasi dimuat dalam Instagram, salah satunya informasi kuliner. Seperti akun Instagram kuliner @anakjajan yang dinominasikan sebagai 10 akun kuliner terbaik dengan 446.000 followers. Followers akun @anakjajan tentu memiliki motif untuk memuaskan kebutuhannya. Teori Uses and Gratifications menganggap khalayak aktif dalam memilih media untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kepuasan followers akun Instagram @anakjajan, dengan melihat kesenjangan antara motif atau Gratifications Sought (GO) dan kepuasan atau Gratifications Obtained (GO) followers @anakjajan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Data primer diperoleh dengan menggunakan kuesioner online. Dari 446.000 followers akun Instagram @anakjajan, diambil sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan akun Instagram @anakjajan berhasil memuaskan responden penelitian. Kepuasan dilihat dari adanya kesenjangan antara mean skor motif dan kepuasan (GS<GO)/The emergence of new media makes it easier for people to access the information they need. New media allow individuals to have greater control in choosing the information they want to receive. Thus, more and more media are competing to satisfy the audience, one of which is through social media Instagram. Various kinds of information are published on Instagram, one of which is culinary information. Like the culinary Instagram account @anakjajan which was nominated as the 10 best culinary accounts with 446,000 followers. The followers of the @anakjajan account certainly have a motive to satisfy their needs. Uses and Gratifications theory assumes that audiences are active in choosing media to meet their needs. The purpose of this study was to determine the satisfaction of followers of the Instagram account @anakjajan, by looking at the gap between motives or Gratifications Sought (GO) and satisfaction or Gratifications Obtained (GO) followers of @anakjajan. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. Primary data was obtained by using an online questionnaire. Of the 446,000 followers of the Instagram account @anakjajan, a research sample of 100 respondents was taken. The results showed that the Instagram account @anakjajan succeeded in satisfying the research respondents. Satisfaction was seen from the gap between the mean motive score and satisfaction (GS < GO).
