This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of economic
literacy, capital, labor, and marketing on the development of food and beverage

especially food and beverage to suffer losses, not even a few have to close their
businesses permanently because they are unable to survive in the current conditions,
those who are able to survive must develop their businesses to suit new normal
conditions, because therefore, a comprehensive research is needed to determine the
factors that influence the development of the business. This research is an
associative or causal type of research, using the PLS-SEM data analysis method.
The sample obtained in this study were 200 respondents using a non-probability
sampling technique with purposive sampling method, while the data collection
technique used was an online questionnaire. Based on the results of data processing,
it was found that economic literacy and labor did not have a significant effect on
business development, while capital and marketing had a positive influence on
business development. This research helps MSME entrepreneurs, especially food
and beverage, to identify factors that can contribute to the success of their business
development, with the hope that they can survive the pandemic and thrive in the
future.
