Takhta Suci selama masa kepemimpinan Paus Fransiskus telah menjadi salah satu institusi agama dan politik terbesar di dunia di mana salah satu kepentingan mereka adalah untuk menjaga perdamaian dunia yang bebas dari konflik bersenjata. Takhta Suci didukung oleh berbagai modalitas dan kebijakan dalam usaha untuk merealisasikan kepentingannya tersebut. Namun, Takhta Suci juga dihadapi oleh tantangan-tantangan yang dapat menghambat dan mengancam usaha mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau peran yang dimiliki oleh Takhta Suci selama masa kepemimpinan Paus Fransiskus dalam menjaga perdamaian dunia melalui pembahasan terhadap modalitas, kebijakan, dan tantangan yang dimiliki oleh Takhta Suci. Di dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan perspektif konstruktivisme dan metode penelitian studi kasus untuk mengembangkan analisis yang mendalam atas beberapa contoh kasus yang ada. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan dan penelusuran daring, yang dianalisis menggunakan narrative analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Takhta Suci selama masa kepemimpinan Paus Fransiskus memiliki peran yang cukup penting dan berpengaruh dalam menjaga perdamaian dunia dikarenakan keberhasilan memanfaatkan modalitas untuk mengkonstruksi kebijakan mereka dalam mendukung proses perdamaian di banyak konflik. Takhta Suci selama masa kepemimpinan Paus Fransiskus juga telah menunjukkan komitmen dan kemampuan mereka untuk mengatasi tantangan yang dapat menghambat usaha mereka untuk menjaga perdamaian dunia. / The Holy See during the reign of Pope Francis has become one of the largest religious and political institutions in the world where one of their interests is to maintain world peace free from armed conflict. The Holy See is supported by various modalities and policies in an effort to realize its interests. However, the Holy See is also faced with challenges that can hinder and threaten their efforts. This study aims to review the role played by the Holy See during the reign of Pope Francis in maintaining world peace through a discussion of the modalities, policies, and challenges of the Holy See. In this study, the author uses constructivism theory and the case study research method to develop an in-depth analysis of several examples of existing cases. The data collection process will be carried out through library research and online searches, which will later be analyzed using narrative analysis. From the results of the study, we can conclude that the Holy See during the reign of Pope Francis had a fairly important and influential role in maintaining world peace due to the success of utilizing these modalities to construct their policies in supporting the peace process in many conflicts. The Holy See during the reign of Pope Francis has also demonstrated their commitment and ability to overcome challenges that may hinder their efforts to maintain world peace.
