Abstract

Pada tahun 1979, Margaret Thatcher menggantikan James Callaghan sebagai Perdana Menteri. Margaret Thatcher adalah salah satu pemimpin Inggris yang fenomenal. Sewaktu menjadi Perdana Menteri Inggris, Thatcher melakukan perubahan fundamental dalam berbagai bidang, khususnya dalam bidang ekonomi dan kebijakan luar negeri. Ide-ide Margaret Thatcher dituangkan dalam kebijakan domestik dan luar negeri, yang dikenal dengan istilah Thatcherism. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh Thatcherism terhadap kebijakan domestik dan kebijakan luar negeri Inggris. Penulis menggunakan teori Konstruktivisme sebagai landasan teoritis dalam menganalisis Thatcherism dalam kebijakan domestik dan kebijakan luar negeri Inggris. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sejarah untuk menggambarkan bahwa Thatcherism berperan besar dalam perumusan kebijakan domestik dan luar negeri. Ide yang berdampak terhadap kebijakan domestik adalah privatisasi, pemotongan uang belanja negara, public housing, yang membuat inflasi turun sebesar 18%. Sedangkan pengaruh dalam kebijakan luar negeri Inggris adalah Perang Falkland dan Perang Dingin. / In 1979, Margaret Thatcher succeeded James Callaghan as Prime Minister. Margaret Thatcher was one of the greatest British leaders. When she became Prime Minister of the UK, Thatcher made fundamental changes in various fields, especially in the field of economics and foreign policy. Margaret Thatcher's ideas were embodied in domestic and foreign policy, known as Thatcherism. This study aims to analyze the influence of Thatcherism on British domestic and foreign policy. The author uses the theory of Constructivism as a theoretical basis in analyzing Thatcherism in British domestic and foreign policy. This study uses the historical method to illustrate that Thatcherism plays a major role in the formulation of domestic and foreign policies. The ideas that have an impact on domestic policy are privatization, cutting state spending money, public housing, which makes inflation fall by 18%. While the influence in British foreign policy is the Falkland war and the cold war.
