Abstract

Organisasi merupakan sekumpulan orang yang saling berhubungan dan bekerja sama untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu. Komunikasi yang terjadi didalamnya dapat berupa komunikasi vertikal dan horizontal. Untuk mendukung kelancaran komunikasi dalam organisasi, pola komunikasi serta kerja sama yang baik harus diusahakan oleh pemimpin dan yang dipimpin agar tercipta keharmonisan sehingga setiap keputusan yang diambilpun selaras dengan pencapaian tujuan organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian yaitu bagaimana pola komunikasi organisasi dalam proses pengambilan keputusan di PT Biotech International. Konsep yang dipakai sebagai acuan dalam penelitian ini adalah komunikasi organisasi, dimensi budaya Hofstede, gaya kepemimpinan dengan pendekatan situasional, dan pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam terhadap satu informan kunci dan tiga informan serta observasi partisipan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi PT Biotech International mempengaruhi gaya kepemimpinan direktur dan manajer yang membentuk pola komunikasi organisasi linear, rantai serta lingkaran dan berpengaruh terhadap keputusan yang diambil. / An organization is a group of people where they interact with each other and work together to achieve certain goals. The communication which occur within can be in the form of vertical communication and horizontal communication. In order to support the fluency of communication within an organization, good communication and cooperation patterns must be sought by leaders and members in order to create harmony. Thus, every decision made would abide by the goal of their organization. This research is conducted to determine how an organization's communication pattern affects the decision-making process in PT Biotech International. The concepts used as a reference in this research are organizational communication, Hofstede's cultural dimensions, leadership style with a situational approach, and decision making concept. This research uses a case study qualitative approach, and the data was obtained by conducting in-depth interviews with one key informant and three informants as well as participant observation. The results of this study indicate that the organizational culture of PT Biotech International influences the leadership style of their director and managers which form linear, chain and circular organizational communication patterns which also affects the decisions taken.
