Abstract
Pandemi Covid-19 membawa banyak perubahan bagi kehidupan masyarakat, salah satunya dalam bidang pendidikan. Mahasiswa diharuskan untuk melakukan learn from home sebagai salah satu cara untuk menekan penyebaran virus Covid-19. Perubahan metode pembelajaran tersebut dapat menyebabkan stress hingga dapat berujung kepada munculnya student burnout. Penelitian ini akan meneliti mengenai pengaruh dari self compassion terhadap student burnout pada 150 mahasiswa yang berkuliah secara full online. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitaif dengan menggunakan alat ukur Skala Welas Diri dan Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa self compassion berpengaruh terhadap student burnout (R2 = .243, b = -14.4, p<.001). Pada penelitian ini juga ditemukan dengan mengikuti kegiatan lain selain perkuliahan dapat menjadi faktor protektif terhadap student burnout. Dengan demikian, dengan menerapkan self compassion dapat mengurangi bahkan mencegah munculnya student burnout.
/ Covid-19 pandemic brings many changes to the public life, such as education. Students are required to do learn-from-home as a method to repress the transmission of Covid-19 virus. The change of the learning method can be a new stressor for student and it can lead to student burnout. This research will focus on the impact of self compassion to student burnout in 150 students that fully engaged in online studies. This research is done through quantitative method using Skala Welas Diri and Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey questionnaire measurement. This research found that self compassion have a significant effect to student burnout (R2 = .243, b = -14.4, p<.001). This research also found that involved in other activities aside study can be a protective factor against student burnout. In conclusion, applying self compassion can reduce even prevent the emergence of student burnout.
