Abstract
Sleep is one of the main physiological needs that has a positive effect on an individual's life if it is fulfilled and has good quality. But in fact, often this is not fulfilled properly, especially for college students. Due to the demands that require students to change and adjust their lifestyle and face academic demands, their sleep quality also decreases and is disturbed. Poor sleep quality in individuals can have a negative impact on aspects of life, both physiological and psychological. One of the coping strategies that can be used by students is self-compassion, namely an attitude of concern and kindness towards oneself when facing difficulties. The instrument in this study consist of informed consent, participant demographic data, Skala Welas Diri (SWD) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant and negative correlation between self-compassion and sleep quality.
