Abstract

Sejak terjalinnya hubungan diplomatik pada tahun 1973, Korea Selatan dan Indonesia telah menfokuskan hubungan bilateral mereka dalam ekonomi dan diperluas ke berbagai bidang, salah satunya yaitu di bidang kebudayaan. Budaya Korea Selatan sangat beragam, antara lain musik, film, fashion, hingga kulinernya. Korea Selatan dan Indonesia mempererat hubungan bilateralnya dengan bekerja sama di bidang budaya, sehingga kerja sama tersebut dapat menguntungkan Korea Selatan dan Indonesia secara ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berbagai kerja sama yang dilakukan oleh negara Korea Selatan dan Indonesia dalam bidang budaya dan untuk menganalisa bagaimana meluasnya budaya Korea Selatan berdampak bagi perekonomian kedua negara tersebut. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Neo-Liberalisme dengan menggunakan beberapa konsep antara lain Kerja Sama Bilateral, Globalisasi, dan Diplomasi Publik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode penelitian riset historis. Budaya Korea Selatan telah meluas di Indonesia dalam dua dekade belakangan ini. Masyarakat Indonesia juga memiliki antusias yang besar terhadap budaya Korea Selatan. Sehingga, hal tersebut bisa menjadi peluang untuk melancarkan kerja sama antara Korea Selatan dan Indonesia dalam bidang budaya seperti kerja sama antara KCI dan KOSCAP, Korea – Indonesia Film Festival, Fashion Collaboration Korea – Indonesia di Jakarta Fashion Week, hingga K-Food Fair. Dari hasil penelitian ini meluasnya industri budaya Korea Selatan telah mendorong ekonomi domestiknya, dan juga berpengaruh terhadap perekonomian Indonesia melalui tren budaya Korea Selatan. / Since the establishment of relations in 1973, South Korea and Indonesia have focused their bilateral relations on the economy and expanding in various sector, one of them is in the sector of culture. South Korean culture is very diverse, including music, movies, fashion, to culinary. South Korea and Indonesia strengthen their bilateral relationship by working together in the cultural sector, so that this cooperation can benefit South Korea and Indonesia economically. This study aims to find out the various collaborations carried out by South Korea and Indonesia in the sector of culture and to analyze how the spread of South Korean culture has an impact on the economies of the two countries. The theory used in this research is the theory of Neo-Liberalism by using several concepts, including Bilateral Cooperation, Globalization, and Public Diplomacy. This research is qualitative research with historical research methods. South Korean culture has spread in Indonesia in the last two decades. Indonesian people also have great enthusiasm for South Korean culture. So, this can be an opportunity to develop cooperation between South Korea and Indonesia in the field of culture such as KCI and KOSCAP, Korea – Indonesia Film Festival, Fashion Collaboration Korea – Indonesia at Jakarta Fashion Week, and K-Food Fair. From the results of this study, the expansion of the South Korean cultural industry has boosted its domestic economy and has also influenced the Indonesian economy through South Korean cultural trends.
