Abstract

Budaya organisasi merupakan karakteristik dan juga pedoman yang diikuti oleh setiap organisasi. Dalam maskapai penerbangan X ditemukan bahwa terdapat fenomena budaya senioritas antara junior dan senior awak kabin yang membawa dampak negatif bagi junior awak kabin. Peneliti tertarik untuk melihat bagaimana awak kabin memaknai budaya senioritas yang terjadi dalam organisasi mereka. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode fenomenologi dari Alfred Schutz dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Untuk mengumpulkan data yang diperlukan, penulis menggunakan Teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi, studi kepustakaan, dan studi dokumentasi. Data-data yang diperlukan kemudian dikumpulkan dan diuji keabsahannya menggunakan ketelitian dan referensi sebelum akhirnya dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa senioritas merupakan tindakan untuk mengontrol serta mendisiplinkan junior awak kabin berdasarkan arah dari senior awak kabin. Peneliti berharap agar pada penelitian selanjutnya, perlu dikaji lebih lanjut terkait efek dari senioritas terhadap performance bekerja awak kabin junior / Organizational culture is a characteristic as well as a guideline that is followed by every organization. In airline X, it was found that there is a phenomenon of seniority culture between junior and senior cabin crew which has a negative impact on cabin crew juniors. Researchers are interested in seeing how cabin crew interpret the seniority culture that occurs in their organization. In this study, researchers used the phenomenological method of Alfred Schutz with a qualitative approach. To collect the necessary data, the author uses in-depth interview techniques, observation, literature study, and documentation study. The required data is then collected and tested for validity using accuracy and references before being analyzed. The results showed that seniority is an action to control and discipline the junior cabin crew based on the direction of the senior cabin crew. The researcher hopes that in future research, it is necessary to study further regarding the effect of seniority on the work performance of junior cabin crew.
