Abstract

Budaya patriarki yang mengakar di Indonesia berpengaruh kepada nasib perempuan-perempuan di Indonesia, termasuk nasib ekonomi perempuan di Indonesia. Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini adalah masih terdapat kesenjangan kontribusi perempuan dan laki-laki dalam sektor ekonomi. Berdasarkan data dari Badan Pusat Statistik Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa pada tahun 2019 persentase tenaga kerja formal laki-laki adalah 47,19% sedangkan perempuan hanya sebesar 39,19%. Pemberdayaan ekonomi perempuan merupakan salah satu alat untuk memanfaatkan potensi yang ada pada perempuan serta dapat mempercepat laju pembangunan negara dengan tetap meningkatkan partisipasi perempuan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kontribusi yang diberikan UN Women terhadap proses pemberdayaan ekonomi perempuan di Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dimana metode tersebut digunakan untuk menjelaskan apa saja upaya yang dilakukan oleh UN Women dan bagaimana respon pemerintah terhadap upaya tersebut. Data yang dikumpulkan merupakan data primer yang didapatkan melalui wawancara dengan narasumber yang berkaitan dengan topik penelitian ini dan juga data sekunder yang didapatkan melalui hasil mengkaji literatur-literatur yang relevan dengan penelitian ini. Data yang telah diperoleh akan dianalisis melalui teknik analisis naratif. Teori yang digunakan dalam menganalisis penelitian ini adalah teori Neoliberalisme dengan didukung oleh beberapa konsep antara lain, Women in Development, Women and Development, Gender and Development, Organisasi Internasional, dan Hak Asasi Manusia. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, UN Women cukup berkontribusi dalam upaya mendorong ekonomi perempuan di Indonesia dengan bekerja sama dengan beberapa pihak pemerintahan dan organisasi-organisasi pemerintah yang tertuang pada berbagai macam program kerja sama yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian perempuan di Indonesia. / The patriarchal culture that is rooted in Indonesia affects the fate of Indonesian Women, especially with their economic circumstances. The main concern of this research is there is a gap between men and women’s contribution in the economic sector. Based on data from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency, it shows that in 2019 the percentage of male formal workers was 47.19% while women only 39.19%. Economic empowerment is one of the tools to utilize the potential of women and also accelerate the pace of country development while on the other hand also increasing women’s participation in the economic sector. This research aims to see the contribution made by UN Women to the process of women’s economic empowerment in Indonesia. The research method that is used is a qualitative research method where the method is used to explain what efforts are being made by UN Women and how the government responds to these efforts. The data collected is primary data obtained through interviews with resource persons related to the topic of this research and also secondary data obtained through the results of the study from relevant literature. The data that has been obtained will be analyzed through narrative analysis techniques. The theory used to analyze this research is the Theory of Neoliberalism which is supported by several concepts, among others, Women in Development, Women and Development, Gender and Development, International Organizations, and Human Rights. Based on the research that has been done, UN Women has contributed to the effort to encourage women’s economic empowerment in Indonesia by collaborating with government and nongovernmental organizations through various cooperation programs to improve the women’s economy in Indonesia.
