Abstract
Kekerasan seksual masih menjadi permasalahan besar di dalam masyarakat. Dampak dari kekerasan seksual terhadap korban bermacam-macam. Untuk mengurangi dampak yang ditimbulkan, adanya keterbukaan diri menjadi hal utama yang diperlukan agar korban tidak merasa terbebani dan mengurangi dampak negatif yang berkepanjangan. Diperlukan adanya inisiatif baik dari lingkup individu, ataupun kelompok yang dapat memberi upaya dalam menangani korban kekerasan seksual, salah satunya penyedia layanan bantuan yang berhadapan langsung dengan korban kekerasan seksual. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menjelaskan strategi komunikasi yang digunakan penyedia layanan bantuan dalam upaya menangani korban kekerasan seksual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui in-depth interview, tinjauan jurnal, serta tinjauan pustaka. Informan dari penelitian ini merupakan penyedia layanan bantuan yang menangani korban kekerasan seksual secara langsung. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penyedia layanan bantuan melakukan strategi komunikasi dengan tujuan untuk membuat korban lebih terbuka dan bersedia bercerita akan kejadian traumatik yang dialami. Ditemukan bahwa penyedia layanan bantuan menerapkan teknik rapport dalam membangun hubungan dengan korban, memanfaatkan kemampuan active listening, serta melakukan self-disclosure guna menyetarakan diri dengan korban sehingga korban dapat lebih terbuka. / Sexual violence is still a big problem in society. The impact of sexual violence on victims varies. To reduce the impact, self-disclosure is the main thing that is needed so that the victim does not feel burdened and reduces the long-term negative impact. There is a need for initiatives from both individuals and groups that can provide efforts to deal with victims of sexual violence, one of which is a service provider who deals directly with victims of sexual violence. Therefore, this study aims to explain the communication strategy used by assistance providers in their efforts to deal with victims of sexual violence. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, journal reviews, and literature reviews. Informants from this study are providers of assistance services that directly deal with victims of sexual violence. The results of this study indicate that assistance service providers carry out communication strategies with the aim of making victims more open and willing to tell stories about the traumatic events they experienced. Assistance service providers apply rapport techniques in building relationships with victims, utilize active listening skill, and conducting self-disclosure in order to equate themselves with victims so that victims can be more open.
