Abstract

The food waste problem has roamed around for years, from individuals until organizations have taken action towards this issue. We are trying to curb food waste problems in order to achieve the goal from Sustainable Development Goals that the UN made in 2015, specifically number two zero hunger. The civil society organization has taken full action on this issue for helping society to curb nutrition waste. The purpose of this research is to find out what civil society organization programs to reduce the nutrition waste is among of the society. With, how the civil society organization programs contribute to the community to achieve this specific goal of SDGs number two zero hunger. This thesis is using the theory called Liberalism and also using concepts of Sustainable Development, Civil Society, and Food Waste as the conceptual framework. This thesis is using a qualitative research approach, also using a descriptive research method to answer these research questions. And, using the deductive approach for the analysis technique. The research has a result that shows the urgency of the food waste problem in the world and how it affects the community. And civil society initiatives can have the possibility to reduce nutrition waste in Indonesia and hopefully in the world. The purpose of civil society programs is also to achieve zero hunger number two in Sustainable Development Goals. The conclusion for this research is with the initiatives that civil society programs created can be the solution to this nutrition waste. And by then, the food waste problem can decrease and by the year 2030, the community can achieve goal number two, zero hunger./Masalah limbah makanan ini sudah terjadi di dunia selama bertahun-tahun, dari perseorangan sampai ke level organisasi sudah melakukan peran nya masing- masing. Untuk mengurangi sampah-sampah sisa makanan dan mencoba untuk meraih tujuan dari Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan yang nomor dua yaitu nol kelaparan, yang di buat oleh PBB di 2015. Organisasi non-profit telah mengambil seluruh tindakan untuk membantu masyarakat mengurangi sampah makanan ini. Dengan cara beberapa program yang telah dilaksanakan oleh organisasi agak bisa mencapai tujuan nol kelaparan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teori yang dikenal Liberalism dan juga menggunakan konsep Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan, Organisasi Non-profit, dan Sampah Makanan sebagai kerangka konseptual. Di skripsi ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif, juga menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif untuk menjawab pertanyaan di penelitian ini. Dan juga, menggunakan pendekatan deduktif untuk teknik analisa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan betapa bahaya nya masalah sampah makanan di dunia dan efek ke komunitas ini. Dan program dari organisasi non-profit bisa menjadi suatu tindakan untuk dilakukan masyarakat demi mengurangi sampah makanan ini. Tujuan dari organisasi non-profit adalah mencapai Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan yang nomor dua, nol kelaparan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah program yang di buat oleh organisasi non-profit bisa menjadi solusi untuk mengurangi sampah makanan. Dengan itu persentase sampah makanan bisa berkurang dan mencapai tujuan, nol kelaparan pada tahun 2030.
