Abstract

Selama kepresidenan Joko Widodo, diplomasi ekonomi menjadi salah satu agenda utama transformasi Indonesia. Nawacita ditetapkan sebagai 9 agenda utama transformasi Indonesia. Agenda utama yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah menuju perbaikan infrastruktur di Indonesia. Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) menjadi alat dalam penelitian ini untuk menganalisis implementasi kemitraan ini terhadap Nawacita Joko Widodo. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, Joko Widodo telah menekankan bahwa Indonesia harus fokus pada kebijakan luar negerinya untuk menarik kegiatan perdagangan dan investasi ke kawasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori neoliberalisme dan multilateralisme serta konsep pembangunan ekonomi, penanaman modal asing langsung dan kepentingan nasional. Tesis ini akan membahas bagaimana tanggapan Indonesia terhadap perjanjian ini dan juga 3 negara perjanjian perdagangan bebas yang paling dekat hubungannya, temuan menunjukkan bahwa kemitraan ekonomi komprehensif regional akan meningkatkan Indonesia akan dapat mempromosikan kepentingan nasionalnya melalui perdagangan dan investasi. / During Joko Widodo‟s presidency, economic diplomacy is one of his main agenda for Indonesia‟s transformation. Nawacita was established as the 9 main transformational agenda of Indonesia. The main agenda that is discussed in this research is towards the improvement of infrastructure in Indonesia. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) serves as a tool in this research to analyze the implementation of this partnership towards Joko Widodo‟s Nawacita. In order to achieve these goal, Joko Widodo has emphasize that Indonesia must focus on its foreign policy in order to attract trade and investment activities to the region.This research uses the theory of neo-liberalism and multilateralism along with the concept of economic development, foreign direct investment and national interest. This thesis will discuss how Indonesia response towards this agreement and also 3 most close related free trade agreement nations, the findings shows that the regional comprehensive economic partnership would be enhance Indonesia would be able to promote it‟s national interest through trade and investments.
