Abstract
Pengikut gaya hidup vegetarian terus menerus bertambah dengan banyak alasan, beberapa alasan diantaranya alasan kesehatan, kemanusiaan, dan untuk membantu menurunkan berat badan. Perayaan Natal yang berada di tanggal 25 Desember yang dirayakan oleh umat Kristiani di Indonesia bertepatan dengan hari libur sekolah dan juga dengan hari libur memasuki tahun baru dan hal ini menjadikan hari libur sebagai waktu untuk berkumpul baik bersama keluarga dan juga kerabat terdekat. Namun dikarenakan terjadinya pandemi virus Covid-19 maka pemerintah Indonesia mengeluarkan kebijakan untuk membatasi kegiatan demi mencegah penyebaran virus Covid-19 ini, dandikarenakan kegiatan yang dibatasi ini maka muncul pengganti kebiasaan kebiasaan baru contohnya dimana pada saat berkumpul bersama biasanya masyarakat akan memilihuntuk berkumpul di restoran atau tempat makan lainnya dan dikarenakan kebijakan pemerintah ini masyarakat akan tetap berkumpul dengan keluarga inti dan lebih memilih memasak hidangan di rumah, hal inilah yang menjadi dasar dibuatnya rancangan buku resep dengan judul Vegetarian Christmas Recipe, untuk memberikan alternatif varian menu yang tidak menggunakan daging.
Pembuatan buku resep ini dilakukan awal mulanya dengan pengumpulan referensi dan melakukan uji coba resep referensi. Setelah membuahkan hasil yang memuaskan maka dilanjutkan dengan mendesain buku resep, desain buku resep ini dibuat dengan didominasi dengan warna hijau dan emas karena dinilai lebih menonjolkan kesan tema Natal itu sendiri lalu akan di buat dengan finishing dov yang akan menonjolkan tema Natal yang dibalut dengan elegan, lalu akan menggunakan jenis cover, soft cover karena demi kenyamanan pada saat membaca buku sambal memasak maka dengan memakai softcover sampul buku resep ini dapat dilipat kebelakang. / Followers of the vegetarian lifestyle continue to increase for many reasons, some ofwhich include health reasons, humanity, and to help lose weight. Christmas celebration which is on December 25 which is celebrated by Christians in Indonesia coincides with school holidays and also with holidays entering the new year and this makes holidays a time to gather both with family and closest relatives. However, due to the Covid-19 virus pandemic, the Indonesian government issued a policy to limit activities to prevent the spread of the Covid- 19 virus, and due to these restricted activities, new habits have emerged, for example, when people gather together usually people will choose to gather at restaurants or other places to eat and because of this government policy, people will continue to gather with their nuclear families and prefer to cook dishes at home, this is the basis for the design of a recipe book with the title Vegetarian Christmas Recipe, to provide an alternative menu that does not use meat.
The preparation of this recipe book was carried out initially by collecting referencesand conducting trials of reference recipes. After producing satisfactory results, it iscontinued by designing a recipe book, the design of this recipe book is made dominated by green and gold because it is considered to highlight the impression of the Christmas theme itself and will be made with a dov finishing which will highlight the Christmas theme which is wrapped elegantly, Then I will use the cover type, the soft cover because for the sake of convenience when reading the chili cooking book, by using a soft cover, the cover of this recipe book can be folded backwards.
