Abstract
Real estate has been one of the most valuable resources to humanity. One of the most time consuming aspect of the real estate sale process is the process of finding a property. The application development started with problem analysis of the current real estate browsing process, and a system design that will streamline that process and reduces the amount of effort and time it takes to find a property.
The proposed application was created for mobile devices. The inclusion of location-aware data layers and augmented reality technology are the main features of the proposed application. Evaluation is done using the black box method and includes connectivity testing, distance accuracy testing and a user survey. The resulting application reduces the time it takes for a potential buyer to view detailed information about a property such as coordinates, address, number of rooms, distance and direction from current location, contact number, and interior photos. Based on the result of the user survey, with a rating system of 1-4 and participated by 25 users, the proposed application scored on average 2.12 on
connectivity, 2.76 on features, 2.48 on usability, 3 on user interface and 3.32 on overall usefulness. Future developments of the application may include a version
for other mobile platforms.
