Abstract

This report explains about gastronomy diplomacy which is cultural diplomacy with food as a tool to promote and strengthen the identity of a nation and culture which will be poured into the draft book. The information that will be poured into the book design is starting from the understanding of diplomacy, explanations, the difference between culinary and gastronomy, the goals and benefits of gastronomic diplomacy, to an example of a form of gastronomic diplomacy.The purpose of this report is to make public aware of the importance of gastronomy diplomacy for economic development, Indonesian cuisine, Indonesian culture, and tourism to increase the nation's brand awareness and introduce Indonesia to the international world. The research method was carried out using a qualitative method, namely by interviewing two expert resource persons. / Laporan ini menjelaskan tentang gastronomi diplomasi yang merupakan diplomasi kebudayaan dengan makanan sebagai alatnya untuk mempromosikan dan memperkuat identitas suatu bangsa dan budaya yang akan dituangkan ke dalam rancangan buku. Informasi yang akan dituangkan ke dalam rancangan buku adalah mulai dari pengertian diplomasi, penjelasan, perbedaan antara kuliner dan gastronomi, tujuan dan manfaat diplomasi gastronomi, hingga salah satu contoh bentuk diplomasi gastronomi. Tujuan dibuatnya laporan ini adalah untuk menyadarkan kepada masyarakat pentingnya gastronomi diplomasi bagi perkembangan ekonomi, kuliner Indonesia, budaya bangsa Indonesia, serta pariwisata untuk meningkatkan brand awareness bangsa dan memperkenalkan negara Indonesia kepada dunia internasional. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif yaitu dengan mewawancarai dua orang narasumber ahli.
