Abstract

Onigiri merupakan suatu makanan yang berasal dari Jepang atau lebih dikenal sebagai nasi kepal di Indonesia. Pada umumnya, di Jepang sendiri onigiri dapat ditemukan hampir di semua minimarket maupun supermarket dan terkenal karena kepraktisan untuk mengkonsumsinya. Onigiri menjadi salah satu bukti nyata dari budaya makanan dikarenakan onigiri berasal dari kebiasaan para prajurit Jepang untuk mempersingkat waktu makan atau dalam keadaan mendesak, dan hal ini terus dimanfaatkan bagi beberapa orang yang memiliki kesibukan dan melewatkan jam makan. Pada umumnya kebiasaan masyarakat jaman sekarang sudah berubah tidak seperti dahulu, pada era globalisasi dan perkembangan jaman saat ini waktu untuk makan atau beristirahat tidak teratur dan oleh karena itu masyarakat di Indonesia sangat menggemari onigiri yang merupakan bekal makan siang yang simpel dan tidak memerlukan banyak waktu dan dengan biaya pembuatan yang cukup terjangkau dan mengandung cita rasa lokal. Onigiri saat ini cukup di kenal di kalangan masyarakat Indonesia, dengan terbukti tersebar di beberapa Minimarket & Supermarket di beberapa kota-kota besar di Indonesia. Masalah di atas dapat diatasi dengan menyediakan produk nasi praktis yang dapat dikonsumsi saat sibuk. Solusinya adalah dengan mengemas nasi menjadi onigiri atau nasi kepal ala Jepang. Maka dari itu, dibuatlah Buku Resep INDOGIRI: Onigiri Dengan Cita Rasa Lokal yang berisikan resep-resep onigiri dengan bahan dasar ayam, ikan, dan sambal. / Onigiri is a food with it’s origin from Japan and is already well known in Indonesia. In Japan, onigiri can be found in almost all minimarkets and supermarkets and is famous for its convenience in consuming the product itself. Onigiri is one of the real evidences of food culture because onigiri comes from the habits of Japanese soldiers to shorten meal times or in urgent circumstances, and this continues to be used by some people who are busy and skip meals. In general, the habits of today's society have changed. Unlike before, in the era of globalization and current developments the time to eat or rest is irregular and therefore people in Indonesia are very fond of onigiri which is a simple lunch that does not require much time and effort at an affordable cost of manufacture also with local taste. Onigiri is currently quite well known among the people of Indonesia, with proven distribution in several Minimarkets & Supermarkets in several big cities in Indonesia. The problems above can be overcome by providing practical rice products that can be consumed when busy. The solution is to pack the rice into onigiri or Japanese-style rice balls. Therefore, the Recipe Book INDOGIRI: Onigiri dengan Cita Rasa Lokal was created which contains onigiri recipes with basic ingredients of chicken, fish, and chili sauce.
