Abstract
Pelajar SMK Puspa Wisata Tangerang Selatan memiliki keterbatasan pengetahuan mengenai pangan lokal dalam hal ini tepung sorgum yang merupakan pangan lokal dengan potensi menjadi pangan alternatif yang kaya nutrisi dan bebas gluten. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini diselenggarakan oleh Tim PkM Jurusan Pengelolaan Perhotelan Universitas Pelita Harapan kepada pelajar SMK Puspa Wisata sebagai pemenuh salah satu syarat kelulusan tahun ajaran 2021. Pelatihan dilakukan secara online melalui platform zoom kepada pelajar SMK Puspa Wisata untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengolah tepung sorgum menjadi produk cookies. Pengetahuan yang diberikan diantaranya merupakan (1) pengenalan apa itu sorgum, (2) manfaat dari tepung sorgum, (3) cara mengolah tepung sorgum menjadi produk jadi. Melalui kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini diharapkan pelajar SMK Puspa Wisata diperkayakan oleh pengetahuan mengenai sorgum dan keterampilan dalam membuat cookies dari bahan dasar tepung sorgum. Kegiatan pelatihan ini berjalan selama 60 menit yang kemudian diikuti oleh pembagian e-kuesioner untuk dapat mengetahui pendapat pelajar mengenai pelatihan yang dilakukan. Hasilnya sebanyak 100 persen dari 15 peserta mendapatkan ilmu baru, 35,3 persen dari 15 peserta menilai kegiatan melebihi ekspektasi, dan 64,7 persen menjawab sesuai dengan ekspektasi. / Puspa Wisata Vocational School in South Tangerang has limited knowledge about local produce, in this case, sorghum flour which is a nutritious and gluten-free local produce that has the potential to be an alternative food. This community service was coordinated by PkM Team Pelita Harapan University majoring in Hospitality Management to fulfill one of the graduation requirements for the academic year 2021. The training session was held online through the Zoom platform to Puspa Wisata Vocational School students to provide knowledge and skill in processing sorghum flour as the main ingredient for cookies. The knowledge given are (1) introducing sorghum, (2) the benefits of sorghum flour, (3) how to use sorghum flour into baked goods. Through this community service, the students are expected to gain new knowledge about sorghum and a new skill to produce cookies with sorghum flour as the main ingredient. The training session lasts for 60 minutes and was then followed by the distribution of an e-questionnaire in order to get feedback from the students about the training session that has been held. The result is 100 percent of the 15 participants got a new knowledge according to the training, 64,7 percent of the 15 participants rate the training suit their expectations, furthermore 64,7 percent of the15 participants rate the training is above their expectations.
