Given that copyright infringement of songs and/or music that still occurs frequently in Indonesia, the protection of Copyright Law towards a song and/or music is very important. Hence, the government has protected creations of songs and/or music through the Copyright Law and the Government Regulation Number 56 Year 2021.With the laws and regulations given by the government, the laws and regulations should be capable of minimizing and preventing, along with solving copyright infringement of songs and/or music that occur in Indonesia, especially in the digital platforms of music. So, in order to prevent a copyright violation towards a song and/or music to arise, the writer of this thesis will do an in depth examination regarding the copyright protection towards the creations of songs and/or music in digital music platforms and the structure of an agreement for the parties involved in a song and/or music. This study aims to examine the regulations relating to the copyright law of a song and/or music that applies in Indonesia and to propose some suggestions that could help solve the issues regarding copyright infringement of songs and/or music that could potentially arise in Indonesia.
