Abstract

Data is a very important thing for all organization. In the organization, good data management is needed in the form of an information system. Good information system is useful for profit and non-profit organization. The Church is a non-profit organization engaged in religious affairs. Without doubt in a church, there are data that must be documented, especially the data of its congregation. Currently, the church usually performs data documentation using manual means. As a result, it is common to find outdated or duplicated data. The large amount of data also poses obstacles in terms of data searching and processing. Therefore, the objective of this final project is to design and build information systems for the Catholic church. The information systems is developed using prototyping method and PHP programming language. The modeling used in the development of this application is UML 2.0 with use case diagrams, activity diagrams and class diagrams. The end result of this final project is an application of Information Systems Management for Catholic Church that can facilitate the church to perform data documentation and to process information related to the church congregation. It is expected that the information can benefit the church in activity pastoral planning in the following year and demographic analysis of congregation./ Data merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting bagi semua organisasi. Di dalam organisasi, dibutuhkan manajemen data yang baik dalam bentuk sebuah sistem informasi. Sistem informasi yang baik sangat berguna untuk organisasi profit dan nonprofit. Gereja merupakan organisasi non-profit yang bergerak di bidang keagamaan. Tentunya di dalam gereja terdapat data yang harus didokumentasikan terutama data umat. Saat ini, dokumentasi data yang dilakukan oleh pihak gereja masih dilakukan secara manual. Akibatnya, banyak ditemukan data yang tidak update atau terjadi duplikasi data. Banyaknya data juga menimbulkan kendala dalam hal pencarian dan pemrosesan data. Oleh sebab itu, pembuatan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi untuk gereja Katolik. Pengembangan sistem informasi menggunakan metode prototyping dan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Pemodelan yang digunakan dalam pengembangan aplikasi ini adalah UML 2.0 dengan use case diagram, activity diagram dan class diagram. Hasil akhir dari tugas akhir ini adalah aplikasi Sistem Informasi Manajemen Umat Gereja Katolik yang dapat memfasilitasi pihak gereja untuk melakukan dokumentasi data dan mengolah informasi terkait dengan umat gereja. Diharapkan, informasi yang dihasilkan dapat membantu pihak gereja baik dalam perencanaan kegiatan pastoral di tahun berikutnya maupun analisis demografi umat.
