Abstract

Having dog as a pet is something that many people is interested in. However, there are many irresponsible dog owners that abandon their dogs. Noticing this problem, some dog lovers formed a animal rescue organization. One of the animal rescue organization is Animal Defenders. The aim of Animal Defenders is to rescue abandoned animals and take care of them in the animal shelter until someone adopt them. Currently, all the adoption procedure is still being processed manually. As the time goes by, the number of animals that has to be rescued is not comparable with the number of animals that have been adopted. The existence of a website can simplify and facilitate the adoption process. Therefore, the purpose of this final project is to facilitate the adoption process, simplify the adoption process and as a tool to monitor adopted dogs. The methodology that is used in this final project is Rapid Application Development which is built using CodeIgniter Model View Control (MVC) and PHP programming language. The modeling used in the development of this application is UML 2.5 with class diagram, use case diagram, and activity diagram. The result of this final project is a web-based dog adoption system that can facilitate dog adoption process. / Memelihara anjing sebagai hewan peliharaan merupakan hal yang diminati banyak orang. Walaupun banyak diminati, seringkali pemilik anjing tidak bertanggung jawab terhadap anjingnya yang menyebabkan banyaknya anjing terlantar. Melihat hal ini, ada sebagian pecinta anjing yang membentuk organisasi penyelamat hewan. Salah satu contohnya adalah Animal Defenders. Animal Defenders bertugas untuk menyelamatkan hewan terlantar dan menampungnya di shelter yang mereka punya sampai ada pecinta hewan yang ingin mengadopsi hewan tersebut. Saat ini, proses adopsi masih dilakukan secara manual. Seiring berjalannya waktu, banyaknya hewan yang harus diselamatkan dan ditampung di shelter tidak sebanding dengan hewan yang diadopsi. Adanya situs web sebagai tempat bertemunya pengadopsi dan pemilik hewan dapat mempermudah proses adopsi. Oleh sebab itu, tujuan dari tugas akhir ini adalah memfasilitasi proses adopsi anjing berbasis web yang dapat mempermudah proses adopsi dan pengawasan terhadap anjing yang diadopsi. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam tugas akhir ini adalah Rapid Application Development yang dibangun dengan framework Code Igniter Model View Control (MVC) dan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Pemodelan yang digunakan dalam pembangunan aplikasi ini adalah UML 2.5 dengan use case diagram, activity diagram, dan class diagram.Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah sistem adopsi anjing berbasis web yang dapat memfasilitasi proses adopsi anjing.
