Abstract

Timbulnya pandemi menjadi salah satu faktor yang mendorong terjadinya digitalisasi pada seluruh aspek sosial, termasuk pendidikan. Hal ini tentunya berdampak pada perubahan metode belajar siswa untuk menjadi lebih aktif dan inovatif dalam mencari materi akademik melalui internet dan teknologi. Salah satunya melalui perpustakaan digital. Perpustakaan digital dimaksudkan untuk menjadi sumber yang berguna, terutama bagi mereka yang melakukan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Perpustakaan digital harus dapat menyertakan berbagai sumber buku, jurnal, dan bahan literasi lainnya yang bereputasi dan relevan demi mendukung tujuan perpustakaan. Namun, ada pula faktor lain yang perlu dipertimbangkan guna meningkatkan pengalaman penggunanya, yaitu kemudahan dalam penggunaannya serta aksesibilitas situs web. Melalui perancangan ini, digunakan perpustakaan digital dari Universitas Pelita Harapan yaitu situ The Johannes Oentoro Library atau library.uph.edu sebagai subjek perancangan dengan menggunakan pendekatan 5 (lima) faktor usability design. Dilakukan riset kuantitatif dan kualitatif menggunakan metode evaluasi kegunaan desain (usability evaluation) guna mencapai antarmuka situs perpustakaan yang dapat mempermudah penggunanya dalam proses pemenuhan kebutuhan akademiknya. / One of the causes that encourages digitization in all social aspects, including education, is the advent of a pandemic. This has a significant influence on modifying student learning practices to become more active and innovative in using the internet and technology to discover academic information. The use of digital libraries is one of them. Digital libraries are intended to be helpful resources, particularly for distance learners. To support the library's aims, digital libraries must be able to provide a variety of reliable and relevant sources of books, journals, and other literacy resources. However, other elements, such as the website's simplicity of use and accessibility, must be taken into account in order to improve the user experience. In this journal, The Johannes Oentoro Library website was used as the design subject using the 5 (five) usability design approach. The usability evaluation method was used to perform quantitative and qualitative research in order to create a library site interface that can assist users in fulfilling their academic needs.
