Abstract

Furnitur adalah salah satu sektor yang cepat pulih pada masa pandemi karena masyarakat banyak menghabiskan waktu dirumah sehingga masyarakat cenderung menata rumah mereka. Selain itu di masa pandemi, masyarakat tidak dapat bepergian ke luar negri oleh karena itu munculnya tren bepergian domestik. Salah satu tempat wisata yang dapat dikunjungi masyarakat adalah Sumba. Sehingga Sumba menjadi inspirasi pada furnitur. Pencarian data Sumba dilakukan dengan pencarian data pada jurnal dan melakukan kunjungan langsung ke lapangan. Data yang didapat digabungkan juga dengan target market (studi Dio Living), survey dan tren di masa yang akan datang. Furnitur yang dibuat adalah koleksi living room yang terdiri dari meja ruang tamu, sofa, meja tv, meja sisi dan kursi santai. Inspirasi yang diambil adalah rumah adat, keindahan pantai Mandorak, keranjang lontar dan kuda pada tradisi pasola. Sehingga perancangan furnitur ini menampilkan kekayaan budaya Indonesia salah satunya yaitu budaya Sumba namun tetap dengan gaya minimalis, kontemporer dan modern/ Furniture is one of the sectors that quickly recovered during the pandemic because people spend a lot of time at home so that people tend to organize their homes. In addition, during the pandemic, people cannot travel abroad, therefore the emergence of domestic travel trends. One of the tourist attractions that can be visited by the community is Sumba. So Sumba became an inspiration for the furniture.The Sumba data search was carried out by searching for data in journals and making direct visits to the field. The data obtained is also combined with the target market (Dio Living study), surveys and trends in the future. The furniture made is a collection of living rooms consisting of coffee table, sofa, tv credenza, side table and lounge chair. The inspiration taken is the traditional house, the beauty of Mandorak beach, lontar baskets and horses in the pasola tradition. So that the design of this furniture displays the richness of Indonesian culture, which is Sumba culture but still with a minimalist, contemporary and modern style.
