Abstract

Setiap studio konsultan desain interior pasti memiliki strategi desain yang diterapkan pada perusahaan mereka. Hal tersebut juga terjadi pada Vivaci Living di mana tujuan dari strategi desain tersebut adalah menghasilkan desain yang bernilai. Desain bernilai bagi masing-masing orang tentu berbeda oleh sebab itu, untuk menghadirkan desain bernilai Vivaci Living menghadirkan adanya fleksibilitas pada tahapan desain. Penulis melihat bahwa bukan hanya fleksibilitas namun juga terdapat beberapa strategi desain lainnya yang dapat dianalisis melalui tahapan desain serta mengomunikasikan desain pada Vivaci Living. Penulis melakukan penelitian kualitatif etnografi selama sembilan bulan lamanya dengan membuat catatan lapangan. Selain itu penulis juga melakukan studi kasus instrumen untuk menganalisis secara mendalam pada satu studi kasus serta melakukan wawancara terstruktur maupun tidak terstruktur. Penulis menemukan bahwa strategi desain tersebut berperan besar dalam menghadirkan desain bernilai pada Vivaci Living. Untuk menghadirkan desain bernilai tersebut terdapat tiga subjek yang terlibat yaitu: Vivaci Living, desainer, dan klien, di mana penulis melihat bahwa masing-masing subjek memiliki tugas dan tanggung jawabnya masing-masing dalam upaya menghasilkan desain bernilai./Every interior design consultant must have design strategy applied, so do Vivaci Living. Bring the value through design was one of Vivaci Living’s purpose. Every person has different view of valuable design, therefore, to present a valuable design, Vivaci Living provides flexibility at design process. The author saw that not only flexibility, but also strategy in design process and communication methods. The author conducted ethnographic qualitative research for nine months by making field notes. In addition, the author also conducted instrumental case studies to analyzed in depth a case study and conduct structured and unstructured interviews. The author found that this design strategy plays a major role in bring valuable design to Vivaci Living. To present this valuable design there are three subjects involved: Vivaci Living, designers, and clients. Where the author saw that each subject has their respective duties and responsibilities to produce a valuable design.
