Abstract
Kenaikan jumlah kelahiran anak Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) di Indonesia meningkat setiap tahunnya, yang menandakan jumlah fasilitas inklusif terutama pada sektor pendidikan juga harus bertambah. Sektor pendidikan sendiri merupakan faktor penting yang berperan dalam pengembangan diri anak ASD terutama dalam hal melatih kemandirian dan tingkat adaptasi anak terhadap lingkungan sekitarnya. Dari hal tersebut, juga harus diiringi dengan lingkungan yang dapat mendukung kebutuhan pengembangan diri dalam menjalankan kegiatan sehari – hari. Namun sayangnya, pendidikan inklusif di Indonesia belum terlalu diperhatikan, terlebih mengenai jumlah dan kualitas dari fasilitasnya. Salah satu aspek dalam menunjang fasilitas inklusif, dimulai dari tata ruang bangunan yang baik. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, fokus dalam penulisan ini yakni membahas mengenai studi tata ruang pada sekolah inklusif untuk anak ASD yakni Sekolah President Special Needs Center, Cikarang, yang meliputi pembagian zoning, sirkulasi, dan wayfinding. Ketiga variabel tata ruang tersebut diteliti lebih lanjut untuk mengetahui hubungan keterkaitan satu sama lain dalam membantu proses kemandirian dan tingkat adaptasi siswa/i penyandang ASD di dalam lingkungan sekolah / The prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Indonesia is increasing year by year, which indicates that the number of inclusive facilities, especially in the education sector, must increase. The education sector itself is an important factor that plays a role in the self-development of children with autism, especially in fostering their level of independence and adaptability to their surroundings. Therefore, it is also essential to have an environment in which self-development needs can be supported in carrying out daily activities. However, inclusive education in Indonesia has not been given much attention, especially regarding the number and quality of its facilities. One aspect of supporting inclusive facilities starts with a good spatial organization. In this research, spatial study in inclusive schools for ASD, which includes zoning, circulation, and wayfinding are further researched to determine the relation between spatial planning in helping the independence process and the level of adaptation of students with ASD in the school environment.
