Abstract

Proyek ini dirancang dengan dasar timbulnya rasa ingin memperkenalkan Provinsi Lampung dengan segala keberagaman dan kekayaan budayanya ke masyarakat yang lebih luas lagi, dan ingin terus melestarikan budaya berkain yang kini sudah hampir ditinggalkan terutama oleh para generasi modern. Dengan adanya Proyek Perancangan Museum Kain Khas Daerah Lampung ini, sekiranya dapat membantu mengisahkan kembali warisan budaya yang Lampung miliki, yang kemudian diharapkan akan muncul rasa cinta terhadap kain Lampung sehingga memunculkan kesadaran diri untuk terus melestarikannya. Perancangan ini juga akan melibatkan pengrajin UMKM kain khas daerah Lampung, sebagai bagian dari program museum. Data pada penulisan ini juga dikumpulkan dari berbagai tinjauan literatur, seperti dari buku, internet, website, jurnal, skripsi, dan video Youtube, serta hasil wawancara langsung dengan ahli atau narasumber. Data juga diperoleh dengan melakukan observasi lapangan untuk mendapatkan berbagai informasi yang valid. Data pada penulisan dianalisis dari hasil wawancara umpan balik dengan narasumber atau ahli, dan berdasarkan refleksi penulis. Perancangan ini menggunakan metode perancangan design process dari professional standards yang ditetapkan oleh Council Interior Design Accreditation dan pendekatan arsitektur naratif Sophia Psarra serta tahapan narasi dari Tzvetan Todorov untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ruang. Berdasarkan hasil analisa dengan wawancara dan ahli, perancangan ini telah menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa perancangan museum kain khas daerah Lampung mendukung visi dan misi dari museum Lampung. Perancangan ini akan menghasilkan area edukasi mengenai kebudayaan berkain masyarakat Lampung, dan juga memberikan rekreasi kepada siapapun yang berkunjung ke museum kain khas daerah Lampung. / This project was created on the basis of an aspiration to introduce Lampung Province with all its diversity and cultural richness to the wider community, and to carry out the sustainable preservation of the textile culture which is now almost abandoned, especially by the modern generation. With the project of traditional Lampungnese textile museum design, it is expected to reintroducel the cultural heritage that Lampung has, and it is also expected to emit the sense of love for Lampung textile, therefore it raises a self-awareness for a sustainable preservation. This project will also involve UMKM craftsmen of the traditional Lampungnese textile, as a part of the museum program. The data used on this thesis were also collected from various literature reviews, such as books, internet, websites, journals, theses, and Youtube videos, as well as the results of direct interviews with experts or sources. The data was also obtained by conducting field observations to obtain various valid information. The thesis’ data were analyzed from the results of feedback interviews with interviewees or experts, and based on the author's reflection. This project uses the design process method from professional standards by Council of Interior Design Accreditation and Sophia Psarra's narrative cultural space and the stages of Tzvetan Todorov's narrative to solve spatial problems. Based on the interviews and experts analysis results, this project has concluded that traditional Lampungnese textile museum design supports both the vision and mission of the Lampung museum. This project will bring out an educational area about the textile culture of the Lampungnese, as well as provide a recreation facility for anyone who visits the traditional Lampungnese textile museum.
