Sexual violence is still rife in Indonesia. Legal products that cover all aspects to protect women are currently needed for the Indonesian nation. The increase in the number of sexual violence can be seen from many factors, but for the beginning of a big change it can be started from a legal product that is binding and can protect women from criminal acts of sexual violence. When it comes to protecting women, Indonesia itself has made many changes in protecting women from all forms of sexual violence. But recently, with the increase in cases of sexual violence and the development of a form of sexual violence crime itself, it has prompted many women to demand legal protection which in this case supports the existence of the Draft Law on the Elimination of Sexual Violence. Also the institutions that currently protect women also continue to speak out about the protection of women. The government as the main role in making a legal product continues to be pressured by many parties to be able to complete the legal product so that women currently get binding legal protection. The results of this study contain some data regarding cases of sexual violence, as well as legal protection against women in the eyes of the world through the UN Convention which took place in 1979. Reflecting on the interests of many countries in protecting women from all forms of sexual violence, which means women's problems have indeed become a topic that continues to be discussed from time to time. With the formation of a new legal product that can protect women, it is a big step for the Indonesian state in promoting legal protection for women.
