Abstract

This final project is conducted to determine the relation between firm growth to the capital structure. The variables studied include Market-to-book ratio, tangibility, profitability, firm size, industry median of book and market leverage ratio, and dividend payer. Research conducted in 166 companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 1991 to 2010. The analysis used is linear regression analysis, which is preceded by the classical assumption test consisting of heteroscedasticity test and multicollinearity test. As for the result of this study shows that low growth firm (G1), significantly affects ΔDebt/Asset on Market-to-Book ratio and Asset Tangibility. Mixed growth firm (G2) affects ΔDebt/Asset on Dividend Payer. High growth firm (G3) affects ΔDebt/Asset on Industry Median and Market Leverage. / Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pertumbuhan perusahaan terhadap struktur modal. Variabel-variabel yang diteliti antara lain Market-toBook ratio, tangibility, profitabilitas, ukuran perusahaan, industry median book and market leverage ratio, dan dividend payer. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 166 perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dalam periode 1991 hingga 2010. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear yang didahului oleh uji asumsi klasik yang terdiri dari uji heteroskedastisitas dan uji multikolinearitas. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pada perusahaan dengan tipe pertumbuhan rendah (G1), pengaruh terhadap ΔDebt/Asset signifikan pada Market-to-Book ratio dan Asset Tangibility. Pada perusahaan dengan tipe pertumbuhan campuran (G2) pengaruh terhadap ΔDebt/Asset secara signifikan pada Dividend Payer. Pada perusahaan dengan tipe pertumbuhan tinggi (G3) pengaruh terhadap ΔDebt/Asset signifikan pada Industry Median and Market Leverage.
