This thesis will elaborate some of the theories within cinematography study and present necessary things that are used in the making of “Harum Melati” film such as shotlist and storyboard. Harum melati is a fiction movie set in a time where Indonesia was under the Dutch’s colonization. It tells the story of a married couple that runs a pop and mom store. One day, there’s a customer who was part of TKR (Tentara Keamanan Rakyat) that came to their store. The customer who turned out to be the Commander fell in love with Melati and tried to pursue her despite of her being married to Zhang wei. This thesis will also explain in details about the process and method used in producing “Harum Melati” film. The writer wish that this paper will be beneficial for the next readers or any researchers.
