Abstract

Pengalaman buruk masa kecil dan depresi cukup umum terjadi di Indonesia. Banyak penelitian yang meneliti hubungan dari kedua hal tersebut. Namun sayangnya tidak banyak yang meneliti di Indonesia, terutama pada populasi mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah ada korelasi antara pengalaman buruk masa kecil dan depresi pada populasi mahasiswa kedokteran dan menggambarkan masing-masing kejadian tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi potong lintang terhadap 73 responden yang memenuhi kriteria dan akan dilakukan uji korelasi. Pengalaman buruk masa kecil yang tersering dialami yaitu kekerasan emosional (64,3%) dan kejadian depresi mencapai angka 23,2%. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman menunjukan korelasi positif yang bermakna (r = 0,516, p = <0,05) antara pengalaman buruk masa kecil dengan depresi. Terdapat korelasi antara pengalaman buruk masa kecil dengan depresi pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. / Adverse childhood experiences and depression are quite common in Indonesia. Many research have studied the relationship between them. However, there are still very few research about that topic in Indonesia, especially in medical student. This study was conducted to determine whether there is a correlation between adverse childhood experiences and depression in medical student and to describe each occurrence. This study uses a cross-sectional study of 73 respondents who meet the criteria and will be tested for correlation. The most common adverse childhood experiences were emotional violence (64,3%) and the prevalence of depression was 23,2%. The results of the Spearman test showed a significant positive correlation (r = 0,516, p = <0,05) between adverse childhood experiences and depression. there is a correlation between adverse childhood experiences and depression in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University.
