The purpose of this research is to identify the influence of cultural diversity and economic uncertainty in cash holdings towards 22 country in emerging markets. We examine three major findings. First, corporate cash holdings are negatively associated with Individualism and positively associated with Uncertainty Avoidance. Second, corporate cash holdings are positively associated with Economic Uncertainty. We also investigate the buildup and dissipation of cash holdings by studying the relationship between firm size, profitability, R&D, growth, net working capital, market to book which all positively connected while leverage remain negatively related. (FJ) / Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh budaya dan ketidakpastian ekonomi terhadap cash holdings pada 22 negara di negara berkembang. Penelitian ini menjelaskan tiga poin utama. Pertama, cash holdings secara negative dipengaruhi oleh Individualism dan dipengaruhi secara positif oleh Uncertainty Avoidance. Kedua, cash holdings secara positif dipengaruhi oleh ketidakpastian ekonomi. Penelitian ini juga mendalami faktor yang mempengaruhi cash holdings dengan melihat hubungannya dengan firm size, profitabilitas, R&D, growth, net working capital, yang berpengaruh secara positif, sedangkan hutang berpengaruh negatif.
