Abstract

Locus Of Control adalah persepsi psikologis seseorang yang membantu individu tersebut dalam regulasi emosi, bertindak, dan berfikir. Terdapat 2 tipe LOC yaitu : internal dan eksternal, yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap kesehatan mental seseorang. Menurut WHO, depresi merupakan gangguan mental yang paling umum di dunia dan salah satu penyebab disabilitas di dunia. Mahasiswa kedokteran merupakan kelompok yang rentan mengalami depresi dikarenakan beban tugas, ambisi, dan persaingan ketat yang harus mereka jalani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tipe LOC terhadap derajat keparahan depresi pada mahasiswa praklinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Penelitian ini menerapkan desain studi potong lintang pada 150 responden mahasiswa praklinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan yang masuk kedalam kriteria inklusi penelitian dan menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Responden akan mengisi kuisioner Levenson Multidimensional LOC Scale, DASS-21, dan PAS melalui google-form. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2021 – Januari 2022. Hasil penelitian akan diolah dengan program SPSS dan metode chi-square. Penelitian ini melibatkan 150 orang dengan mayoritas responden berusia 20 tahun dan berjenis kelamin perempuan. Dari hasil analisis,, diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara tipe LOC terhadap derajat keparahan depresi pada mahasiswa pre-klinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan, dengan skor p = 0,001. Berdasarkan hasil analisis pada penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara tipe LOC terhadap derajat keparahan depresi pada mahasiswa pre-klinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Selain itu, faktor jenis kelamin dan pola asuh tidak mempengaruhi kedua variabel secara signifikan dengan skor p > 0,05. / Locus of Control is a psychological perception that helps human to regulate emotion, behaviour and thinking. There are 2 types of LOC : internal and external, both influence the mental health of human being. According to WHO, depression is a common mental health disorder and one of the cause of disability globally. Medical students are vulnerable group to experience depression because of projects burden, ambition, and tough competition that they must endure. This study is conducted to determine the relationship between types of Locus Of Control to the degree of depression in medical students of Pelita Harapan University. This study applies cross-sectional design to 150 respondents medical students that suits the inclusion criteria taken by convenience sampling technique. Respondents are obligated to fill in Levenson Multidimensional LOC Scale, DASS- 21, and PAS through google-form. Data collection will start on December 2021 – March 2022. Data will be processed through SPSS and the statistical test that will be used is chi-square. This study involves 150 individuals with majority of the respondents were 20 years old and female. Based on analysis, the results that were obtained were significant between types of Locus of Control and degree of depression among pre- clinical medical students of Pelita Harapan University with p-value of 0.001. Based on the result analysis of this study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between types of LOC to the degree of depression in pre-clinical medical students of Pelita Harapan University. On the other hand, gender and parenting style doesn’t influence both variables significantly with p- value > 0.05.
