Abstract
Christian education should lead to real change, if not so then the transformation has not yet taken place but only as process of indoctrination. The basic question for Christian education is whether Christian education leads to changing communities or still adjusting to the community. Christian transformational leadership is a Christian who leads based on the truth of God through vision, character, persuasion and strategic abilities as guarantees that influence his followers to achieve common goals. This research aims to describe the characteristics and behavior of lecturers who are considered transformational in the formation of the student faith community. Descriptive qualitative design is carried out. Data collected through interviews using email and they are analyzed to produce solutions. The results of the study state that lecturers have characteristics such as integrity; mercy; concern for students; humble; intelligent; inspire; mindset; faith; patient; personality; and authority can transform the student faith community. The results of the study also explain lecturers who behave like applying biblical teaching in real life through learning content; showing attention to students; seemed trustworthy and gave challenges to students; starting and ending classes with prayer, considered capable of transforming the student faith community. Lecturers are able to transform the faith community of students in theological and non-theological classes, because transformation is the result of the characteristics and behavior of lecturers rather than teaching content. / Pendidikan Kristen jika tidak menuntun kepada perubahan nyata maka sesungguhnya transformasi belum terjadi melainkan hanya sebagai proses indoktrinasi. Pertanyaan mendasar bagi pendidikan Kristen, sudahkah sebagai pendidikan Kristen mengarah pada komunitas mengubahkan atau masih pada komunitas menyesuaikan. Kepemimpinan transformasional Kristen merupakan seorang Kristen yang memimpin berdasarkan kebenaran Firman Tuhan melalui visi, karekater, kemampuan persuasi dan strategis sebagai jaminan yang memengaruhi pengikutnya untuk mencapai tujuan bersama. Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik dan perilaku dosen yang dianggap transformasional pada pembentukan komunitas iman mahasiswa. Desain metode kualitatif deskriptif dilakukan. Pengumpulan data melalui email internet interview dan wawancara, data dianalisis untuk menghasilkan solusi dari permasalahan. Hasil penelitian menyatakan dosen yang memiliki karakteristik seperti integritas; belas kasih; kepedulian terhadap mahasiswa; rendah hati; cerdas; menginspirasi; pola pikir; beriman; sabar; berkepribadian; dan berwibawa dapat mentransformasi komunitas iman mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian juga menjelaskan dosen yang berperilaku seperti menerapkan pengajaran Alkitabiah dalam kehidupan nyata melalui konten pembelajaran; menunjukkan perhatian kepada mahasiswa; tampak dapat dipercaya; memberikan tantangan kepada mahasiswa; mengawali dan mengakhiri kelas dengan doa, dianggap mampu mentransformasi komunitas iman mahasiswa. Dosen mampu mentransformasi komunitas iman mahasiswa berada di kelas teologi maupun non-teologi, karena transformasi merupakan hasil dari karakteristik dan prilaku dosen daripada konten pengajaran.
