Abstract
Nasabah yang dalam hal ini adalah konsumen dari jasa perbankan, sehingga perlindungan konsumen merupakan suatu tuntutan yang tidak boleh diabaikan begitu saja. Salah satu contoh dalam hal perlindungan hukum bagi nasabah bank yang dirugikan akibat hilangnya deposito. Sejumlah nasabah di Bali dikabarkan telah kehilangan uangnya yang disimpan dalam bentuk deposito di PT Bank Mega Tbk. (MEGA) dengan jumlah kerugian saat ini ditaksir sekitar Rp56 miliar dengan jumlah korban sekitar 14 nasabah. Namun hingga saat ini, tak ada informasi apapun yang telah disampaikan oleh pihak Bank Mega terkait hilangnya dana milik para nasabah tersebut termasuk mengenai ganti rugi. Kemudian rumusan masalah selanjutnya akan menguraikan terkait perlindungan hukum bagi nasabah bank yang dirugikan akibat hilangnya deposito dan upaya hukumnya. Metode penelitian yang dipakai menggunakan pendekatan yuridis normatif.
Penelitian ini akan membahas terkait ketentuan kewajiban bank pada Pasal 37 B, 49 ayat (1) UUPB dan Hak konsumen menurut pasal 4 huruf (h) UUPK, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan upaya hukum konsumen pada pasal 46 ayat (1) UUPK . Kasus ini dapat menjadi cerminan serta studi kasus dalam upaya pengimplementasian asas perlindungan konsumen. Pihak bank sebagai pelaku usaha dalam bidang deposito serta investasi patut mempertimbangkan hak konsumen untuk mendapatkan keamanan, keselamatan, kenyamanan, dan memberikan kepastian hukum dalam kontrak kesepakatan yang terjalin.

Customers in this case are consumers of banking services. Consumer protection is a demand that should not be ignored. One example in terms of legal protection for bank is customers who are disadvantaged by the loss of deposits. A number of customers in Bali are reported to have lost their money which was kept in the form of deposits at PT Bank Mega Tbk. (MEGA) with a total loss currently estimated at around Rp56 billion with a total of 14 customers. However, until now, Bank Mega has not submitted any information regarding to the loss of funds belonging to these customers, including compensation. Then the formulation of the next problem will describe the legal protection for bank customers who are harmed by the loss of deposits and legal remedies. The research method used is a normative juridical approach.
This study will discuss the provisions of bank obligations in Article 37 B, 49 paragraph (1) of the UUPB and consumer rights according to article 4 letter (h) of the UUPK, then proceed with consumer legal remedies in article 46 paragraph (1) of the UUPK. . This case can be a reflection as well as a case study to implement consumer protection

regulations. The bank as a business actor in the field of deposits and investment should consider the rights of consumers to obtain security, safety, comfort, and provide legal certainty in the contract contract agreement issued.
