Abstract

Kinerja kepala sekolah merupakan perilaku nyata dari kepala sekolah sebagai prestasi kerja yang dihasilkan sesuai dengan perannya dalam sekolah. Kinerja dan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di sekolah Kristen dapat mempengaruhi kemajuan pembangunan sekolah dan masyarakat. Sebaliknya, jika kepemimpinan kepala sekolah tidak efektif dapat mengakibatkan kurangnya keteladanan dan kepercayaan terhadap pemimpin berkaitan dengan semangat dan profesionalisme, serta dapat menimbulkan banyak kesulitan dalam membangun sistem sekolah. Demi mengetahui kualitas kinerja kepala sekolah, maka dibutuhkan alat penilaian yang mampu mengukur kinerja tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat penilaian kepala sekolah yang komprehensif dalam meningkatkan peran dan fungsi kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin Kristen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan Borg dan Gall. Tahapan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kebutuhan, mengembangkannya menjadi sebuah produk, pengujian terhadap produk yang dirancang, dan peninjauan ulang serta mengoreksi produk tersebut berdasarkan hasil uji coba terbatas. Alat pengumpulan data berupa hasil wawancara, hasil forum grup diskusi, dan kuesioner. Subjek penelitian adalah delapan orang dengan wawancara terstruktur, delapan orang dengan forum grup diskusi, tiga puluh dua orang dengan memberi tanggapan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengembangan instrumen penilaian kinerja kepala sekolah dalam aspek spiritualitas, profesionalitas, dan kemampuan manajerial dengan tahapan dan uji coba terbatas model Borg and Gall dapat membantu evaluator dalam menilai kinerja kepala sekolah./The principal's performance is the real behavior of the principal as work performance is produced in accordance with his role in the school. The performance and leadership of principals in Christian schools can affect the progress of the school and community development. On the other hand, if the principal's leadership is not effective, it can result in a lack of example and trust in leaders regarding enthusiasm and professionalism and can cause many difficulties in building the school system. To determine the quality of the principal's performance, an assessment tool is needed that can measure this performance. This study aims to develop a comprehensive principal assessment tool to improve the role and function of school principals as Christian leaders. This study uses the research and development method of Borg and Gall. The stages used in this research are needs analysis, developing it into a product, testing the designed product, and reviewing and correcting the product based on the results of a limited trial. Data collection tools in the form of interviews, discussion group forum results, and questionnaires the research subjects were eight people with structured interviews, eight people with discussion group forums, and thirty-two people who responded to questionnaires. The results showed that the process of developing the principal's performance appraisal instrument in aspects of spirituality, professionalism, and managerial ability with the stages and limited trials of the Borg and Gall model could assist evaluators in assessing the principal's performance.
