Abstract

Latar Belakang : Hipertensi didefinisikan sebagai peningkatan tekanan darah sistolik >140 mmHg dan tekanan darah diastolik >90 mmHg pada dua kali pengukuran dengan selang waktu lima menit dalam keadaan cukup istirahat/tenang. Hipertensi dipengaruhi oleh dua faktor utama, yaitu faktor yang tidak dapat dikendalikan seperti jenis kelamin, umur, genetik, ras dan faktor yang dapat dikendalikan seperti pola makan, kebiasaan olahraga, konsumsi garam, kopi, alkohol dan stres. Dari 60 responden di RSUD Kotamobagu Sulawesi Utara didapati; usia >51 tahun paling banyak menderita hipertensi 24 orang (56.2%), dan jenis kelamin laki-laki memiliki persentase tertinggi yaitu 36 orang (56.2%). Tujuan : Mengetahui hubungan usia dan jenis kelamin pada penderita hipertensi di RSUD Kotamobagu. Metodologi : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik pendekatan cross sectional di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Kotamobagu. Uji statistic menggunakan chi square dengan menggunakan SPSS. Hasil Penelitian : Terdapat hubungan usia dengan kejadian hipertensi di RSUD Kotamobagu (p=0,029). Terdapat hubungan jenis kelamin dengan kejadian hipertensi di RSUD Kotamobagu (p= 0,001) Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan terhadap usia dan jenis kelamin pada penderita hipertensi di RSUD Kotamobagu / Background: Hypertension was defined as an increase in systolic blood pressure >140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure >90 mmHg on two measurements with an interval of five minutes in a state of sufficient rest/quiet. Pressure is determined by two main factors, namely uncontrollable factors such as gender, age, genetics, race and controllable factors such as diet, exercise habits, consumption of salt, coffee, alcohol and stress. Of the 60 respondents at the Kotamobagu Hospital, North Sulawesi, it was found; age >51 years suffered the most from hypertension, 24 people (56.2%), and male sex had the highest percentage, namely 36 people (56.2%). Purpose: Knowing the relationship between age and sex in patient with hypertension at Kotamobagu General Hospital. Hypothesis: There is a significant relationship between age and sex with the incidence of hypertension. Methodology: This study used a cross sectional analytical design. The study was conducted at the Kotamobagu Region General Hospital. Statistical test using chi square using SPSS. Research Results: There is a relationship between age and the incidence of hypertension in RSUD Kotamobagu (p=0,029). There is a relationship between gender and the incidence of hypertension in RSUD Kotamobagu (p=0,001) Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between age and gender in patients with hypertension in Kotamobagu Hospital
