Karena trend penggunaan media sosial telah menjangkit di masyarakat, mayoritas masyarakat memanfaatkan platform media sosial untuk melakukan komunikasi, baik internal maupun eksternal atau komunikasi massa. Termasuk pemerintahan kota dan negara pun semakin fasih menggunakan media sosial sebagai platform komunikasi, terutama karena adanya pandemi Covid-19 yang menghalangi beberapa bentuk komunikasi yang lebih tradisional, misalnya melakukan konferensi pers tradisional. Pemerintahan kota Bogor tidak luput dari kesulitan komunikasi yang disebabkan oleh pandemi. Saat pandemic Covid-19 melanda, seakan memaksa pemerintah untuk memanfaatkan platform media sosial lebih baik dengan cepat. Menarik untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemerintah kota Bogor mengatasi keterbatasan ruang publikasi yang terjadi akibat pendemi tersebut, untuk itu pemagang akan memperhatikan, mempelajari, dan menganalisa pemerintah kota Bogor dalam melakukan komunikasi internal dan eksternal yang efisien selama dan setelah pandemi. Selama empat bulan pemagang ditempatkan di divisi humas yang bertanggung jawab menyiapkan berbagai macam acara sosialisasi pemerintah kota Bogor, memastikan kelangsungan acara berjalan dengan baik, dan juga memastikan pesan pemerintah yang ingin disampaikan tersampaikan dengan baik kepada publik. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, it seemed to force the government to make better use of social media platforms quickly. It is interesting to know how the Bogor city government has overcome the limitations of publication space that occurred due to the pandemic, for that the intern will pay attention, study, and analyze the Bogor city government in carrying out efficient internal and external communication during and after the pandemic. For four months the intern was placed in the public relations division which was responsible for preparing various socialization events for the Bogor city government, ensuring the continuity of the event went well, and also ensuring that the government's message to be conveyed was well conveyed to the public.
