Abstract

Beton merupakan bahan bangunan yang memiliki ketahanan terhadap panas/ api dibandingkan dengan jenis material yang lain, karena beton memiliki konduktivitas panas yang lemah. Akan tetapi pada peristiwa kebakaran dengan suhu tinggi dan durasi yang lama maka beton akan mengalami kerusakan. Pada penelitian ini digunakan beton normal dan beton geopolimer dengan menggunakan perkuatan glass fiber 0,5% dan 1,0% untuk diteliti pengaruh suhu 800 oC sehingga dapat menjadi alternatif perkuatan atau pengganti beton normal sebagai beton tahan suhu tinggi. Metode yang dilakukan pada penelitian adalah pembakaran dalam tungku dimana beton dalam tungku mengalami kenaikan suhu hingga 800 oC dan suhunya dipertahankan selama dua jam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa suhu 800oC pada beton normal tanpa dan dengan menggunakan glass fiber menyebabkan cracking, spalling dan patah. Selain itu suhu 800 oC menyebabkan penurunan kuat tekan rata – rata sebesar 75,87 %. Pada beton geopolimer tanpa dan dengan menggunakan glass fiber suhu 800 oC menyebabkan retak halus. Selain itu pada beton geopolimer yang menggunakan glass fiber, suhu 800 oC menyebabkan penurunan kuat tekan rata – rata sebesar 12,57 %, dibandingkan beton geopolimer tanpa penggunaan glass fiber suhu 800 oC menyebabkan kenaikan kuat tekan sebesar 7,50 %. Penggunaan glass fiber sebesar 1 % pada suhu ruangan meningkatkan kuat tekan pada beton normal rata - rata sebesar 10% dan meningkatkan kuat tekan pada beton geopolimer rata - rata sebesar 5 %. / Concrete is a building material that has resistance to heat/fire compared to other types of materials, because concrete has a weak thermal conductivity. However, in the event of a fire with a high temperature and a long duration, the concrete will be damaged. In this study, normal concrete and geopolymer concrete were used using 0.5% and 1.0% glass fiber reinforcement to study the effect of 800 oC temperature so that they can be an alternative to reinforcement or substitute for normal concrete as high temperature resistant concrete. The method used in this research is combustion in a furnace where the concrete in the furnace has a temperature increase of up to 800 oC and the temperature is maintained for two hours. The results showed that the temperature of 800oC in normal concrete without and using glass fiber caused cracking, spalling and fracture. In addition, the temperature of 800 oC causes a decrease in the average compressive strength of 75.87%. In geopolymer concrete without and using glass fiber at a temperature of 800 oC causes fine cracks. In addition, geopolymer concrete using glass fiber at a temperature of 800 oC causes a decrease in average compressive strength of 12.57 %, compared to geopolymer concrete without the use of glass fiber at a temperature of 800 oC, causing an increase in compressive strength of 7.50%. The use of glass fiber by 1% at room temperature increases the compressive strength of normal concrete by an average of 10% and increases the compressive strength of geopolymer concrete by an average of 5%.
