Abstract

This study wanted to explore differences in psychological well-being between unmarried young adult men and women. Preliminary research was conducted to determine the psychological well-being of single young adults in Ambon City, the results prove that single young adults in Ambon City have moderate to low psychological well-being. The study was conducted on single men and women aged 30-40 years in Ambon City. The method used is a quantitative method by conducting a comparative test. The results of this study indicate that unmarried young adult men in Ambon city have higher psychological well-being than unmarried young adult women. / Penelitian ini ingin mengeksplorasi perbedaan kesejahteraan psikologis antara pria atau wanita dalam kelompok usia dewasa muda yang belum menikah (lajang). Penelitian awal dilakukan untuk mengetahui kesejateraan psikologis individu dewasa muda belum menikah di Kota Ambon, hasil membuktikan bahwa individu dewasa muda yang belum menikah di kota Ambon memiliki kesejateraan psikologis dengan kategori sedang sampai rendah. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap pria dan wanita lajang berusia 30-40 tahun di Kota Ambon. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan melakukan uji beda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pria dewasa muda belum menikah di kota Ambon memiliki kesejateran psikologis lebih tinggi dibanding wanita.
