Abstract

Logical thinking skills, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills are skills that need to be possessed by every individual, especially at this time, when the 4.0 revolution era must develop which need to be improved with helpful thinking skills. This study aims to see whether the implementation of unplugged coding activities can grow these three skills or not. This research is an experimental study, with the research subjects being kindergarten students who were divided into a control class (7 students) and an experimental class (15 students), in storytelling lessons. By using the test as a data collection instrument to see if there is a difference between the pretest and posttest of the two classes. By conducting the Mann-Whitney statistical test, it was found that there was no difference between the control class that did not receive treatment and the experimental class that received treatment (unplugged coding activity) both in logical thinking skills, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills. Keywords: unplugged coding, logical thinking skills, critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills. / Keterampilan berpikir logis, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan keterampilan memecah masalah merupakan keterampilan yang perlu dimiliki oleh setiap individu khususnya saat ini, dimana era revolusi 4.0 semakin berkembang yang perlu diimbangi dengan keterampilan berpikir yang menunjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah penerapan aktivitas unplugged coding mampu menumbuhkan ketiga keterampilan tersebut atau tidak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, dengan subjek penelitian siswa TK yang dibagi menjadi kelas kontrol (7 siswa) dan kelas eksperimen (15 siswa), pada pelajaran storytelling. Dengan menggunakan tes sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data untuk melihat adakah perbedaan nilai pretest dan posttest dari kedua kelas tersebut. Dengan melakukan uji statistik Mann Whitney ditemukan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan nilai antara kelas kontrol yang tidak mendapatkan perlakukan dengan kelas eksperimen yang mendapat perlakuan (aktivitas unplugged coding) baik pada keterampilan berpikir logis, keterampilan berpikir kritis, maupun pada keterampilan memecahkan masalah.
