Abstract

Pandemi sudah merubah dunia pendidikan secara signifikan; pembelajaran daring, terkhusus pembelajaran synchronous, menjadi satu-satunya cara yang mungkin dilakukan untuk melaksanankan kegiatan pembelajaran untuk siswa dari semua jenjang. Pembelajaran synchronous ini memiliki berbagai keterbatasan, misalnya keterbatasan interaski bagi siswa dan metode pengajaran bagi guru sehingga mempengaruhi emosi, keterlibatan, dan juga prestasi akademis siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji adanya korelasi anatara gender, kebosanan akademis, keterlibatam, dan prestasi akademis; menguji regresi pengaruh kebosanan pada keterlibatan, kebosanan dan keterlibtan, baik secara terpisah maupun bersama-sama terhadap prestasi akademis; dan menguji adanya perbedaan persepsi antara murid laki-laki dan permepuan terhadap kebosanan, keterlibatan, dan prestasi akademis. Responden dari penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP di SPK SMPK 8 PENABUR Jakarta. Data yang dibutuhhkan didapat dari penyebaran kuesioner dan data primer. Rumus dasar korelasi, regresi, dan mean dengna bantuan Microsoft Excel digunakan untuk mongolah data, Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan jika ada pengaruh negative antara kebosanan dan keterlibatan siswa; dan juga ada perbedaan persepsi antara murid laki-laki dan perempuan terhadap prestasi akademis, di mana siswa laki-laki memiliki prestasi akademis yang lebih rendah dibandingkan murid perempuan./ Pandemic has led to a significant change in education; online learning, specifically synchronous learning, is the only eligible way to conduct teaching and learning process for students of all levels. The synchronous learning has brought many limitations, for instance students’ interactions and teachers’ teaching methods which effect students’ emotion, engagement, and achievement. The purposes of this research are to analyse the relationship between gender and academic achievement, academic boredom, and engagement; the influence of boredom on engagement, influence of boredom and engagement simultaneously and separately on academic achievement; and the different perceptions of male and female students on academic boredom, engagement, and achievement. The research subjects were lower secondary students of SPK SMPK 8 PENABUR Jakarta. The data is collected through questionnaires and primary data collection. To process the data, the basic formula is used to examine the correlation, regression, and mean of the above-mentioned variables in Microsoft Excel. The results shows that there is a negative relationship between academic boredom and engagement; furthermore, there is perception difference between male and female students on academic achievement that male students have lower academic achievement compared to female students.
