Abstract
Siswa tingkat Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini perlu mulai dibangun kesiapannya dalam kemampuan membaca untuk mendukung pembelajaran mereka di tingkat Sekolah Dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengimplementasikan metode korelasi kartu bergambar dan kata dalam kegiatan kelompok kecil untuk peningkatan penguasaan konsep prinsip alfabetik, penguasaan konsep kesadaran fonologis dan motivasi siswa TK A sekolah XYZ di Bogor sebagai langkah dini dalam pengembangan kemampuan membaca siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi partisipatif peneliti dan pengamat terdiri dari rubrik penilaian siswa, lembar observasi pengamat, lembar ceklis persiapan dan perlakuan guru, kemudian catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang terdiri dari Pra siklus, siklus 1 ,2 dan 3, dengan masing-masing empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pembelajaran yang dinamis dan tidak konsisten terhadap sejumlah delapan siswa kelas TKA pada penguasaan konsep prinsip alfabetik, kesadaran fonologis dan motivasi yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor kendala siswa, kendala guru dan kendala lingkungan./Early childhood students need to establish their readiness in reading skills to support their learning at the elementary school level. The purpose of this study was to implement the correlation method of picture and word cards in small group activities to increase in mastering the concept of alphabetic principles, mastery of the concept of phonological awareness and motivation of XYZ Pre-K students in Bogor as an early step in developing students' reading skills. The data collection technique in this study used a participatory observation technique by researchers and observers consisting of a student assessment rubric, observer observation sheets, teacher preparation, and treatment checklists, then field notes and documentation. The research approach uses Action Research which consists of pre-cycle, cycle 1, 2, and 3, with each of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results showed that there was dynamic on the learning progress and inconsistent increase in the number of eight Pre-K class students in mastering the concept of alphabetic principles, phonological awareness, and motivation which were influenced by student constraints, teacher constraints, and environmental constraints.
