Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini memiliki tujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan tentang pembuatan konten promosi produk dalam media sosial Instagram. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan dengan tujuan menambah pengetahuan kepada siswa SMK Bisnis Manajemen Pemasaran Sekolah Methodist 2 Palembang melalui ilmu pengetahuan yang telah dipelajari dari Program Studi Pengelolaan Perhotelan dan Hospitour Entrepreneur Club (HEC), Fakultas Pariwisata, Universitas Pelita Harapan. Kegiatan PkM ini mengandung pengetahuan berupa cara membuat konten promosi produk dalam media sosial Instagram sebagai strategi pemasaran dalam menarik konsumen. Perkembangan teknologi semakin membawa perubahan dalam masyarakat. Kehadiran media sosial menjadikan pola perilaku masyarakat mengalami pergeseran baik dalam budaya, etika, dan juga norma yang ada. Berbagai kalangan dan usia hampir semua masyarakat Indonesia menggunakan sosial media sebagai salah satu sarana untuk menyampaikan informasi kepada publik baik Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, dan sebagainya. Media sosial adalah sebuah media online, sehingga para penggunanya bisa dengan mudah berpartisipasi, berbagi, berbisnis. Media sosial sendiri pun mempunyai dampak positif bagi masyarakat yaitu dapat memudahkan untuk berinteraksi dengan orang banyak, memperluas pergaulan sehingga jarak dan waktu bukan lagi masalah, dapat mengetahui berita, dapat digunakan sebagai promosi dalam suatu usaha, dapat menarik konsumen untuk membeli produk. Maka dari itu, penulis akan mengadakan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat pembuatan konten promosi produk dalam media sosial Instagram dalam membuat keterkaitan terhadap konsumen kepada SMK Bisnis Manajemen Pemasaran Sekolah Methodist 2 Palembang. / This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to provide training on the creation of product promotional content on Instagram social media. PkM activities are carried out with the aim of increasing knowledge to students of Marketing Management Business Vocational School 2 Palembang Methodist through the knowledge that has been learned from the Hospitality Management Study Program and the Hospitour Entrepreneur Club (HEC), Faculty of Tourism, Pelita Harapan University. This PkM activity contains knowledge in the form of how to create product promotional content on Instagram social media as a marketing strategy in attracting consumers. The development of technology is increasingly bringing changes in society. The presence of social media makes people's behavior patterns experience a shift in culture, ethics, and also existing norms. Various groups and ages, almost all Indonesian people use social media as a means to convey information to the public, both Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and so on. Social media is an online media, so its users can easily participate, share, do business. Social media itself also has a positive impact on society, namely it can make it easier to interact with many people, expand relationships so that distance and time are no longer a problem, can find out news, can be used as promotion in a business, can attract consumers to buy products. Therefore, the author will hold a Community Service to create product promotional content on Instagram social media in making linkages with consumers to the Marketing Management Business Vocational School of the Methodist School 2 Palembang.
