Abstract

These days, a good leadership and training program is important to trainees in order to improve the quality of performance. Improving the quality of trainee performance will give a good effect towards the customer and prevent the company to gain bad reputation. Where trainee is needed in almost every company but there are some negative reviews about the trainee in Cambridge Hotel Medan. Where the research will be about the effect of leadership and training program toward trainee performance. The data are collected by deploying questionnaire towards the respondent who is the food and beverage trainee in Cambridge Hotel Medan where the research conducted is descriptive research and casual research. This research is using quantitative method, where the questionnaire consists of 34 questions and are distributed to 33 respondent which is the food and beverage service trainee in Cambridge Hotel Medan. Collected data will be processed by using descriptive statistics, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The result of this research is Leadership does not have a partial influence towards trainee performance, training program does have partial influence on trainee performance and both leadership and training program do have simultaneous effect the trainee performance. Based on the result of this research, it shows that both the variable Leadership and Training Program simultaneously affect towards Trainee Performance of Cambridge Hotel Medan. This result of this research will help the future researcher and Cambridge Hotel Medan in order to improve the quality of the trainees./ Pada saat ini, program kepemimpinan dan pelatihan yang baik penting bagi peserta pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kualitas kerja dari peserta pelatihan yang dimana akan memberikan efek yang baik terhadap pelanggan dan mencegah perusahaan untuk mendapatkan reputasi yang buruk. Peserta pelatihan dibutuhkan di hampir di setiap perusahaan namun ada beberapa review negative tentang peserta pelatihan di Cambridge Hotel Medan. Dimana penelitian ini akan membahas tentan g pengaruh kepemimpinan dan program pelatihan terhadap kinerja peserta pelatihan. Data dikumpulkan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner terhadap responden yang merupakan peserta pelatihan makanan dan minuman di Cambridge Hotel Medan dimana penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian deskriptif dan penelitian kasual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dimana kuesioner terdiri dari 34 pertanyaan dan didistribusikan kepada 33 responden yang merupakan peserta pelatihan layanan makanan dan minuman di Cambridge Hotel Medan. Data yang dikumpulkan akan diproses dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif, analisis regresi dan pengujian hipotesis. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kepemimpinan tidak berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap kinerja peserta pelatihan, program pelatihan berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap kinerja peserta pelatihan dan kepemimpinan dan program pelatihan berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap kinerja peserta pelatihan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel Leadership and Training Program memiliki efek positif terhadap Trainee Performance Cambridge Hotel Medan. Hasil penelitian ini akan membantu peneliti masa depan dan Cambridge Hotel Medan dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas peserta pelatihan.
