Abstract
Each student is unique and special since they were created in God’s image. They have differences in abilities and potentials. As the image of God, they should develop it as a way to be responsible for what they have given. However students have a different preference in learning, or it is known as learning style. Relating to learning style, students in grade 8 and 9 in SMP ABC also have differences in learning style. Teacher should accommodate them to help the students can learn well and optimally. However, teacher may face challenges to accommodate students’ learning style. Thus, this research is conducted to know what are the challenges and the solution toward it. From the interview with the teachers, it shows that the challenges mostly about the methods, students’ learning ability, and school’s facilities. Thus, the solutions offered are teachers should know and understand the students well, then, teachers should realize their role as a guide and facilitator. Lastly, the recommendation of this research is intended to the teachers for using various teaching methods, guiding and facilitating the students; the schools for providing better facilities, do a review and evaluation, and hold a training and workshop for teachers; and the further research to extend the time allocation and analyze deeply the challenges and solutions to know the effect for teachers and students.
