Abstract

As humans are given with knowledge and they could expand it through teaching and learning. In teaching and learning, there are assessment and feedback. The effective feedback is needed for the grade 8 English class as on their formative and summative assessment 11 out of 35 still get low score, even though the teacher gave them two formative feedbacks. Feedback on its purpose, leading students to have progress in their learning continually and progressive, so sanctification that God wants us the fallen yet redeemed to be sanctified and become more like him (Christlikeness). The researcher found out that this problem is caused the teacher was not have much understanding how to give an effective feedback, she lacked in making a good feedback with the good tone, specificity, and clarity, students’ perception toward is high, but they did not give any further action to do improvement, and lastly teacher need more experience in giving feedback.. The researcher recommends teachers for using the Form for Review and Feedback on a Test for helps student in do feedback review.
