Teachers have four teacher competencies that must be mastered, one of which is professional competency. One important task in this competency is the teacher must be able to design effective and efficient learning plans, especially in developing learning objectives. Learning objectives outline the activities that will be carried out by the teacher and students and become a direction for students to know the objectives of the learning. Based on the results of observations and observations of the objectives of the author raised this topic is the author wants to explain the importance of designing and delivering learning objectives when conducting teaching and learning activities. This writing uses a literature review. A Christian teacher must have preparation before starting class one of which is to make lesson plans in order to facilitate the teacher in the learning process. In addition to physical and content, Christian teachers must also prepare their hearts before entering the classroom so that when teaching teachers do their work joyfully and the learning objectives arranged are achieved. Therefore, it is better for teachers to understand their competence as a professional teacher and to carry out their noble duties seriously and the school must also pay attention and provide an evaluation of the teacher's work. / Guru memiliki empat kompetensi guru yang harus dikuasai salah satunya adalah kompetensi profesional. Salah satu tugas penting dalam kompetensi ini adalah guru harus mampu merancang rencana pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien khususnya dalam mengembangkan tujuan pembelajaran. Tujuan pembelajaran menggambarkan garis besar aktivitas yang akan dilakukan guru dan siswa serta menjadi arah untuk siswa mengetahui tujuan dari pembelajaran tersebut. Selain fisik dan konten, guru Kristen juga harus mempersiapkan hatinya sebelum memasuki kelas agar saat mengajar guru melakukan tugasnya dengan penuh sukacita dan tujuan pembelajaran yang disusun tercapai. Oleh sebab itu, sebaiknya guru memahami dengan baik kompetensinya sebagai guru yang profesional dan menjalankan tugasnya yang mulia dengan sungguh-sungguh serta pihak sekolah juga harus memperhatikan dan memberikan evaluasi terhadap hasil kerja guru.
