Abstract

Various efforts have been made by the Government to deal with this disease, one of which is vaccination. The knowledge level and attitudes affect vaccination acceptance in the community. Lack of public knowledge about the benefits of vaccination and the attitude of doubt and refusal to be the cause of inhibition of vaccination. Research Aim: to determine the relationship between knowledge level with attitude of the community toward receiving the COVID-19 vaccination in a village in Minahasa Regency. Research Methods: this study used a correlational quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study is the people who live in Jaga III and VI, Leilem I Village, Sonder District, Minahasa Regency, totaling 303 respondents. Sampling was done using simple random sampling technique with a total of 173 samples. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with pearson statistical test. Results: this study stated that 83.8% of respondents had good knowledge about COVID-19 vaccination, and 57.2% of respondents had a positive attitude toward receiving COVID-19 vaccination. Pearson test analysis of the two variables showed the results of p=0.000 which indicated that there was a relationship between knowledge and people's attitudes toward receiving COVID-19 vaccinations. Recommendation: this research is expected to be a source for further research using a wider range of variables, methods, and respondents.
