Abstract

Penggunaan rokok menjadi faktor risiko penyebab kematian tertinggi sejak tahun 2017. Jenis rokok yang paling banyak digunakan remaja adalah rokok kretek kemudian diikuti rokok elektrik pada urutan ke-3. Merokok dapat memberikan dampak terhadap sistem neurologis seperti nyeri kepala. Migrain merupakan salah satu jenis nyeri kepala primer dan paling banyak terjadi pada usia 15–49 tahun. Penelitian sebelumnya hanya meneliti hubungan merokok dengan migrain ataupun efek kesehatan dari rokok elektrik, belum ada penelitian yang membandingkan penggunaan rokok tembakau dan rokok elektrik dengan migrain. Kebiasaan merokok paling banyak ditemukan pada usia 15–24 tahun sedangkan usia minimal perokok adalah 18 tahun sehingga dilakukan penelitian mengenai perbandingan penggunaan rokok tembakau dan rokok elektrik terhadap nyeri kepala migrain pada usia 18–24 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode potong lintang (cross-sectional) dengan melibatkan 250 subjek berusia 18–24 tahun yang telah setuju untuk terlibat dan memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner indeks brinkman, penggunaan rokok elektrik dan Migraine Screen Questionnaire (MS-Q). Analisa data dilakukan dengan menggunakan program SPSS. Analisis bivariat dalam penelitian menunjukkan p-value <0.05 pada analisis penggunaan rokok tembakau yaitu dengan nilai 0.022 dan pada rokok elektrik dengan nilai 0.045. Analisis multivariat memberikan p-value 0.001 untuk rokok elektrik rendah, 0.029 untuk rokok elektrik tinggi, 0.006 untuk rokok tembakau ringan, dan 0.000 untuk rokok tembakau sedang. Rokok tembakau derajat sedang memiliki risiko 4.3 kali lebih besar dibandingkan rokok elektrik derajat rendah. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan rokok tembakau memberikan pengaruh yang lebih besar dalam menyebabkan nyeri kepala migrain apabila dibandingkan dengan penggunaan rokok elektrik. / Cigarette use has become the highest risk factor for death since 2017. The type of cigarette most used by teenagers is kretek cigarette, followed by e-cigarette (electric cigarette) at the 3rd place. Smoking can have an impact on the neurological system such as headache. Migraine is one of the primary headache and mostly occurs at the age of 15–49 years. Previous studies have only examined the association of smoking with migraine or the health effects of e-cigarette, no studies have compared the use of tobacco cigarette and e-cigarette with migraine. Smoking habits were mostly found at the age of 15–24 years, while the minimum age of smokers was 18 years old, so the research is carried out to find out the comparison of the use of tobacco cigarette and e-cigarette on migraine headache at the age of 18–24 years. This study used a cross-sectional method with 250 subjects aged 18–24 years who had agreed to be involved in the study and met the research criteria. Data were collected using the brinkman index questionnaire, the use of e-cigarette and the Migraine Screen Questionnaire (MS-Q). Data analysis was carried out using the SPSS program. Bivariate analysis in this study showed p-value <0.05 in the analysis of tobacco use with a value of 0.022 and in e-cigarette with a value of 0.045. Multivariate analysis gave p-values of 0.001 for low e-cigarette, 0.029 for high e-cigarette, 0.006 for light tobacco cigarette, and 0.000 for moderate tobacco cigarette. Medium-grade tobacco cigarette have a 4.3 times greater risk than low-grade e-cigarette. This study shows that the use of tobacco cigarette has a greater effect on causing migraine headache when compared to the use of e-cigarette.
